Your dentist will perform a comprehensive examination of your mouth, teeth and gums. Soft tissues such as your tongue and cheeks will also be examined. Your gums will be examined for any signs of gum disease as well as mouth cancer screening. If required x rays will be taken and used for helping diagnosing any issues that otherwise may go unnoticed.
