Dental Implants

Dental implants allow you to replace missing teeth, so that they function exactly like your natural teeth.

Dental implants can be used to replace one or more missing teeth. Strong and stable, a dental implant restores a lost tooth so that it looks, feels, fits and functions like a natural tooth. Implants are a safe and well established treatment, that can last for 10 years if properly cared for. A titanium screw is placed into the jawbone and this is used to support either a crown, bridge or denture depending on the number of teeth to be replaced. Prior to any treatment, the dentist will need to assess the level of bone present in your jaw. If there is insufficient bone or it is not healthy enough, it will be necessary to complete a bone graft prior to starting treatment.

Benefits of dental implants

Dental implants allow you to retain your natural face shape, and smile – A face without teeth can sag and appear sunken and sad. Dental implants allow you to maintain the natural shape of your face and smile.

Dental implants protect healthy bone – Leaving empty spaces in your mouth after losing one or more teeth can lead to additional health issues, such as the loss and deterioration of some of your jawbone. Dental implants are the only dental restoration option that preserves and stimulates natural bone.

Dental implants keep teeth in place – silently – Dental implants are fixed in place and fuse naturally with your jawbone, meaning your replacement teeth won’t move, click or shift.
